Art Heals Arizona Days
families from all over the state gathered at Lost Canyon Camp in Williams, Arizona, for a day filled with creativity, fun, and togetherness. This Family Art Heals Arizona Day was in partnership with the Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents.
The Art Heals Arizona Family Program and Young Adult Empowerment Program (YAEP) were honored to provide resilience-building art activities at Arizonans for Children Foster Festival. For this annual event, the Enchanted Island Amusement Park partners with Arizonans for Children to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to foster families.
In October, Art Heals Arizona was invited to participate in “Teen Maze” as one of our first steps towards establishing statewide programs.
For the last 22 years, Art Heals Arizona has partnered with Dance Theater West (DTW) to create DTW’s Storybook Ballet production featuring Art Heals Arizona children and teens. Our beloved partnership continued into September 2023, when twelve Art Heals Arizona children performed alongside DTW dancers at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.
It’s been a little over a year since Phonetic Spit, a unique Valley nonprofit with similar goals and values to Art Heals Arizona, partnered with us to form Mic Check, a monthly teen and young adult open mic event held at Parsons Place every third Saturday of the month.
After two years of being on hold, we are very excited to announce Art Heals Arizona Days are back in full swing!
This year’s Storybook Ballet performance and Art Heals Arizona Day, we were able to include children and teaching artists from four Professional Artist Series all taking place at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. 
This year Art Heals Arizona has teamed up with Phonetic Spit, a local non-profit whose mission is to create brave spaces that help young people find, develop, and publicly present their voices as agents of social change.
